How this website handles personal data. Last updated 12 September 2026.
Who is responsible
This website is operated by Sigis Ka, trading as Sigis Ka Ink, a tattoo artist working from Gentleman George's Tattoo Parlour, 46 Castle Street, Liverpool L2 7LA. For anything relating to your personal data, contact sigiskasp@gmail.com.
For the purposes of UK data protection law, Sigis Ka is the data controller. The studio address above is a place of work, not a private address.
What this website collects
Almost every page here is a static file. There is no account system and no newsletter sign-up, and the site runs no advertising, remarketing or conversion tracking of any kind.
There is one exception, and it is the only part of the site that receives anything you type: the enquiry form on the booking page. What it collects, where it goes and how long it is kept is set out in full below.
The only optional technology is Google Analytics, and it does not load unless you accept it. Until you do, nothing is requested from Google and no analytics cookie is set. Full detail is in the Cookie Policy.
Fonts and images are served from this website itself rather than from a third-party content delivery network, so reading a page does not hand your IP address to any company beyond the hosting provider.
Analytics, if you accept it
If you accept, Google Analytics 4 (property G-Q0D9MSWD3X)
records which pages are viewed, approximately where in the world the visit came from, and
which device and browser were used. IP addresses are anonymised. It is used to understand
which pages are useful — nothing more.
The lawful basis is your consent. You can withdraw it at any time using Cookie settings at the bottom of any page. Google acts as a processor for this data and may transfer it outside the UK under its own safeguards. Retention follows the Analytics property's own setting.
No advertising or personalisation signals are sent, and this data is never used to build a marketing profile of you.
Server logs
Like any website, pages are delivered by a hosting provider, and that provider records standard technical request information — your IP address, the time of the request, the page requested and your browser's user-agent string. This is ordinary security and reliability logging. It is not used to build a profile of you and is not used for advertising.
The lawful basis is legitimate interests: keeping the website available and protecting it from abuse. Retention is set by the hosting provider's own log policy, which is short by default and measured in days rather than years.
The enquiry form
If you send the form on the booking page, it collects what it asks for and nothing else: your name and email address, the tattoo you have in mind, where on the body it would sit, a rough size, whether there is anything already on the skin and roughly when you are hoping to come in. A telephone number, an Instagram handle, any extra detail and up to five reference images are optional.
The lawful basis is your consent, which is why the form asks for it explicitly rather than assuming it, together with steps taken at your request before entering into a contract. You can withdraw consent by asking me to delete the enquiry.
The question about the skin
One question on the form asks whether there is anything already on the skin. Three of the answers describe an existing tattoo. One says there is scarring in the area, and that is information about your health — a special category of personal data under the UK GDPR, which I may only hold with your explicit consent.
You are never required to give it. The question has an answer that says you would rather talk about it in person, which lets you answer without telling me anything about your body, and choosing it costs you nothing. If you do tell me, it is used for one purpose: working out what is possible on that skin. It is held with the rest of your enquiry, is never passed on, and goes when the enquiry goes.
The form sends the enquiry to me as an email, at sigiskasp@gmail.com. Two companies handle it on the way: Resend, which delivers the message, and Google (Gmail), which holds the mailbox it arrives in. Both act as processors. Nothing you type is sent to Google Analytics — the site records only that a form was started, sent, or failed, never a field, a filename or a reference number. Your details are not passed to anyone else.
Reference images
A photograph taken on a phone usually carries hidden data alongside the picture: where it was taken, to within a few metres, along with the date, the camera model and sometimes the device's serial number.
None of that is kept. Every image you attach is decoded and written out again as a new file the moment it arrives, which removes the location data, the camera information and every other embedded record. Only the picture itself survives. The original file is not stored anywhere.
The cleaned images are attached to the email that reaches me. Nothing is stored on this website's server — your enquiry is validated, turned into an email and handed to the mail provider; it is not written to a database or to a file on the way through. There is no copy here to leak and none to forget about.
They then live in my mailbox alongside the rest of the enquiry, for as long as that is useful — see the retention note below. They are not published, not used on this website, and not shown to anyone else. Ask me to delete an enquiry and the images go with it.
Protecting the form from abuse
To stop the form being used to send bulk messages, the site counts how many enquiries have arrived from one internet connection. It does this by turning your IP address into an irreversible code and counting that instead. Your IP address itself is not written down, not stored and not included in the email; the code is held only in the running server's memory and is lost whenever it restarts.
If you contact me another way
If you email sigiskasp@gmail.com, message Instagram, or telephone +44 7400 274424, I receive whatever you choose to send: your name, your contact details, your message and any reference images you attach. That is used for one purpose — to answer you and, if you go ahead, to plan and carry out the tattoo.
The lawful basis is legitimate interests, or steps taken at your request before entering into a contract. Email is handled by Google (Gmail), which acts as a processor for that mailbox. Instagram messages are handled by Meta under its own terms.
Enquiry correspondence is kept while it is useful — through the conversation, any booking that follows, and a reasonable period afterwards for aftercare questions and records. Enquiries that do not lead to a booking are deleted once they are plainly no longer live. You can ask for your correspondence to be deleted sooner.
Photographs of tattoos
Photographs of completed work may be published on this website and on Instagram. Where a photograph could identify you — a face, a distinguishing feature, or a tattoo that is recognisably yours — it is published only with your agreement, and you can withdraw that agreement at any time by emailing sigiskasp@gmail.com. Images already shared to third-party platforms may take time to remove and may persist in caches outside my control.
Links to other services
Some links lead elsewhere, and those services have their own privacy policies and their own cookies. Nothing is loaded from them until you follow the link — there are no embedded feeds, no embedded maps and no third-party players anywhere on this site.

Children
This website is not aimed at children. It is illegal to tattoo anyone under 18 in the United Kingdom, and enquiries are not knowingly accepted from under-18s.
Changes
If the website changes in a way that affects this policy — for example if a contact form or an embedded feed were added — this page will be updated before that change goes live, and the date at the top will change with it.
