Tattoo in motion
A still frame flattens it.
A piece that wraps a limb never reads properly in one photograph. This is a short, silent clip — nothing loads until you press play.
The approach
Your reference is the starting point.
The final piece is shaped around the body, the scale and the contrast the design needs. These are the four decisions that get made before anything is permanent.

Contrast first
A black and grey piece is held up by the distance between its darkest and lightest values. That separation is set deliberately wide at the start, because it is what keeps the image readable years later.

Built for the placement
The drawing is made for the limb it will sit on. Where the composition breaks, where it rests and how it behaves when you move are decided before anything is permanent.

Detail with a purpose
Detail goes where the eye lands. Everywhere else earns its place by staying quiet — which is what stops a large piece turning into noise.

The artist
Sigis Ka
I have been tattooing for 12 years, and working exclusively in black and grey for most of them. I work from Gentleman George's Tattoo Parlour on Castle Street, in the centre of Liverpool.
Portraits, classical sculpture, animals and large-scale compositions. Staying inside one discipline for this long is what makes the tonal range possible — knowing how far a grey can be pushed and still be there in a decade.
Process
From the first idea to the final session, every decision has a purpose.
Four stages, in this order. You will know the scale, the placement and the cost before anything is booked.

Send the idea
References, the placement you have in mind and a rough size. A photograph of the area is more useful than any description of it.

We agree the scope
Scale, placement, how many sessions it needs and what it will cost. A £50 deposit confirms the date.

I draw it for you
The design is made for your reference and your placement, ahead of the appointment.

Session and aftercare
The tattoo, then aftercare guidance to take away. Larger work continues from where the last session finished.

Do you tattoo in colour?
No — black and grey only. Working inside one discipline is what makes the tonal range possible, and it is the only kind of tattoo I take on.

What does a tattoo cost?
A day session is £600. Smaller pieces of around 5–10 cm are usually £220–£350, depending on the design and the placement. Every piece is quoted individually and you will have a figure before anything is booked.

How do I book?
Send your references, a rough size and the placement you have in mind — using the enquiry form on the booking page, Instagram, or sigiskasp@gmail.com. Once the scope is agreed, a £50 deposit confirms the date.

How can I pay?
Contactless card in the studio on the day, or bank transfer by arrangement. PayPal Pay in 3 and Klarna are also available where they are offered to you. Nothing is paid through this website — the figure is agreed first, and payment is arranged directly. Bank details are given once a date is agreed and are never published here.

Will my idea work in black and grey?
Send the references and the placement and you will get a straight answer. Source material with real light and shadow in it translates best. Flat graphics, low-resolution screenshots and heavily filtered images give much less to build tone from.
